Pigs and Sheep…

I’m an at-home mom to two boys — a preschooler and an infant. In my work life I was a computer software professional (SQL DBA/web designer/technical writer), now I design web sites and run a baseball message board with my husband of eight years. In my not-so-spare time, I knit, sew, and cook.

This blog title comes from when Jim (the preschooler) was a baby — his favorite toys were the sheep and the pig from his Little People farm.

  • the boy learned to mimic how we make pig noises (sounds like he’s clearing his throat) and sheep noises (bah!).
  • dad is always coming up with cute or witty descriptions of everyday activities.

One day, dad emailed me a description of their day, and said that the boy had stayed in his crib for a while after his nap, happily playing and, conversing with invisible pigs and sheep

It stuck.
