Home Again

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

Got home at 3am this morning from vacation in the mountains of West Virginia. Quiet trip, Jim and I were sick for the first few days. Had quite an eventful trip home, involving floods, service roads, and driving west on 76 East for several miles.

Fruits of our labor

Jim and I just got back from the park, trying to take advantage of the not-so-hot weather. Words can’t describe how awesome to was to have him climb a ladder, swing on the swings, and get himself on to the bouncy horse and car. These are all things he wouldn’t have even tried three or four months ago. He even said that the swings were his favorite part. So, I have to get moving on finding out how to build a wood swingset in the yard. We don’t really have the space for some of the cool climber swingsets, but a wood a-frame with spots for three swings will do the trick nicely.

Haven’t dropped off the face of the earth…

Long story short… pregnancy sickness and Jim’s busy schedule has kept me away from the computer most of the time. He’s been going to physical therapy twice a week, and additional doctors’ appointments and tests added to the load. Plus, he’s been going to swimming and tumblers at the Y.

Since he won’t be going to the township preschool, we got him enrolled in a local private preschool, and he seems to be excited about it. I like it because it’s only three days a week instead of five.
